General

Why to start using PaySec when I have a payment card?

Because making your payment with PaySec is just a click away! No need to fill in your card number or any other data. PaySec is the fastest way to pay on the internet and you can even safegueard your payments by SMS.

What can I do with PaySec?

  • You can use PaySec to securely pay on internet
  • You can use PaySec in on-line auctions
  • You can send and receive money on-line and even ask your friend for payment!
  • Track your online spending
  • PaySec runs online! You can send and receive money instantly.

Is PaySec for everybody?

Yes, PaySec is opened for just anybody. Both the account opening and maintenance are FREE. Charging the PaySec Account from an account with any Czech bank is also FREE. Making payments in e-shops is FREE and so are payments between users.

How do I open PaySec account?

Click on I want PaySec at https://www.paysec.cz and fill in the registration form. Then we are going to verify your phone number and e-mail address, and you are going to charge your PaySec. And that will be it, you can start using it!

How do I log in to PaySec?

Click on Login to PaySec. Fill in your name and password and click on the Login button

How can I get back to homepage while I’m logged-in?

Due to security reasons you have to logout first.

Do I have to logout every time?

YES. We recommend you to logout after every payment due to security reasons.

I have forgotten…

I have forgotten my password, what should I do?

Click on Login to PaySec.

Click on Forgot your password? underneath the login box on the login page and just follow the instructions.

I have forgotten my login name, what should I do?

Contact Helpdesk via the electronic form (in the lower right corner of the page).

I was not able to login, what should I do?

Check once more if your login name and password are correct. Contact Helpdesk via the electronic form (in the lower right corner of the page) or call the PaySec Helpline (844 330 630).

I have forgotten my PaySec account number, what should I do?

The number of your PaySec account is not important; you use it only as specific symbol when charging your account by transfer from your bank account. You only need to remember your login name and password. When you log in, you will see your account number in the upper right corner of your screen.

I have forgotten the answer to my secret question, what should I do?

The secret question is a very significant safety element. If you have forgotten the answer, withdraw your balance, cancel your PaySec account and open a new one.

I have changed my phone number, what should I do?

Login and choose Personal Settings > Phone Nr. .

I have bought a new phone, what should I do?

If you have the same phone number, you don’t need to do anything, just enjoy your new phone! If you have a new phone number, login to PaySec and choose Personal Settings > Phone Nr. .

Payments, balances, charging, discharging

How can I charge my PaySec account?

You have two options:

Transfer from a bank account: Transfer your money to account no.: 72887288/0300 and use the number of your PaySec account as the specific symbol. Your current account must be tied to your PaySec account (Account options > Bank Accounts).

If you are charging from a current account held with ČSOB or Poštovní spořitelna during business hours, your PaySec account will be credited within twenty minutes. If charging outside business hours, your PaySec account will be credited the next business day.

If you are charging from any other (Czech) banking institution, your PaySec Account will be credited on the second working day following the day of your payment order.

If you charge your PaySec Account from current account, you will also be able to send money between PaySec Accounts.
Without charging your PaySec Account from current account, you will still be able to pay with PaySec at all PaySec eshops and at websites displaying PaySec Payment Button.

Charging from bank account is allways FREE OF CHARGE.

By a payment card: Login to PaySec, click on Payments > Recharging. charging by card is subject to 2% fee from the amount being charged. If you e.g. enter CZK 300 as the amount to be charged, then you will be credited by CZK 294. The fee relates to the actual costs resulting from using a card.

You can use any card enabled for internet payments.

The account may be charged by minimum of 200 CZK. Charging is limited during the calendar week by:

  • a maximum amount of 3.000,- CZK for Non-Verified Client
  • a maximum amount of 5.000,- CZK for Trusted Client
  • there is no weekly limit for Verified Client

After the limit is reached, further Account Charging by a Payment Card will be blocked until the beginning of the next calendar week.

Can I charge PaySec account by cash deposit or by postal payment slip?

NO. It is not possible. It is possible to charge PaySec only by bank transfer from own bank account or from bank account to which you have the rights to make transfers. Also you can charge PaySec by payment card, if you are holder of it. It is not possible to use any kind of cash deposit at Czech Post office or at any other institution. It is also not possible to use postal payment slips of Czech Post office or of any other instituion.

Money transfer from bank account failed, what should I do?

Check whether you have correctly filled-in the number of your PaySec account as the specific symbol to the payment order. If you have not filled-in any specific symbol or filled-in a wrong one, your payment will be returned to your bank. If you will not receive your money back within 7 days, please Contact our Helpdesk via the electronic form or call the PaySec Helpline (844 330 630).

How can I send money to my friend?

Find out what is his/her PaySec account nickname or account number. Click on Payments > Making payments and fill-in the account name/number and the amount to be paid.

How can I create a template for repeated payments?

Go to Payments > Templates and click on Create template. Fill in the desired data and click on create.

New template can also be created while making a payment – just click on Create new template.

How can I send money from my PaySec account back to my bank account?

This can be done by withdrawing. To do that, log-in and select Payments > Withdrawing. Your bank account must be tied to your PaySec account (Account options > Bank Accounts).

How much shall I pay for opening and using my PaySec account?

Both opening and maintenance of your PaySec account are FREE. Payments in eShops and making payments among users are FREE. You can find out more in section Fees (the link is at the bottom of the page).

How can I check the balance of my PaySec account?

You can see the balance after login in top right corner of the screen (underneath the login name and account number).

Can I have more than one PaySec account?

Yes, but each one must have a unique login name, phone number and e-mail address.

Can I have one bank account linked to more PaySec Accounts?

Yes, one bank account can be linked to up to 3 PaySec Accounts.

Is it possible to have a negative balance on my PaySec account?

No, it is not possible.

Are the amounts of payments limited?

Limits of payments, charging and discharging depend on the level of Verification of the account owner.

Is verification obligatory for PaySec Account owners?

Standard users are not required to be verified. Verification is a voluntary step for PaySec Accounts owners and related to user limits above.

When is the verification obligatory?

Verification is obligatory only when the PaySec account owner charges his/her PaySec Account with total amount higher than 63.000 CZKin a given year or withdraws more than total 25.000 CZK from his/her PaySec Account in a given year. PaySec will automatically inform the user on verification requirement.

You can get verified at Poštovní spořitelna branches or at every Česká pošta office.

How can I use PaySec payment button?

PaySec payment button is designed for anyone who has his/her own website and wants to enable his/her visitors to pay.

You can have PaySec payment button with both PaySec Account and Business Account.

How to create and implement a Payment button:
  1. After login in click on Accounts options > Payment button .
  2. Select how would you like your button to appear. The button will then show identically on your web site.
  3. Choose pre-set amount or optional amount. If your website visitors are supposed to descide on the amount to be paid, select button with optional value. If you want to set the fixed amount choose „I want button with specific amount” and fill in the amount of your choice.
  4. Fill in payment identification, message for recipient and the URL, to which your website visitors will be redirected after the payment was processed (e.g. http://www.myweb.cz).
  5. Click on Set up, copy the generated code of payment button and paste it into the source code of your websites.

Open a Business Account and start accepting online payments. Find out more about Business Account here.

How can I open my Business Account?

In order to check the conditions for your business, please fill-in the Web form and send it to us. Our sales team will contact you as soon as possible with detailed conditions.

Before opening Business Account, please read the Terms and Conditions, fill in the Contract and Identification form. Bring all the documents with you to a nearest Financial Center of Poštovní spořitelna. Read further information here.

How can I implement the PaySec payment gate to my eShop?

After filling-in the Web form , our sales team will send you your user name and password for PaySec Test Version.

I want to change my Secret Question, what should I do?

Send the request to the e-mail address podpora@paysec.cz from the e-mail tied to the account for which you wish to make such change.

For parents

Can I open PaySec account for my child?

Yes, you can. To register you need only a unique e-mail and phone number. Each PaySec account can be tied only to one e-mail address and one phone number.
